We monitor website usage via Jetpack, owned by Automattic, and matomo, hosted by B’s projects.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data as part of our organisational methodology. In some cases, like when you sign up for external events, or events we host with some of our partners, we might share the minimum required data to ensure satisfactory management of the event in question. If we believe it is beneficial for you to share additional data, we will ask your consent.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

If you register, we require an email address of you on file. You can choose to provide additional information.

Your data in the context of GDPR regulations

In the course of interacting on our website, you might provide information about yourself (‘personal data’). We (walk listen create) are the ‘data controller’ for this information, which means we decide how to use it and are responsible for looking after it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and associated data protection legislation.

We might use your data to contact you about activities you have signed up for. We are processing your data for this purpose only, as by signing up, you have given us your consent to do so. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected] (Babak Fakhamzadeh). In this event, we will stop the processing as soon as we can. If you have given consent for some of your data to be shared with our partners, we will notify those partners on your behalf. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before your withdrawal of consent. We will only use your data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another related reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If we need to use your data for an unrelated purpose, we will seek your consent to use it for that new purpose.

Access to your data within our organisation will be provided to those who need to view it as part of their work in carrying out the purposes described above. Where we share your data with a third party, after you have given explicit consent, we will seek to share the minimum amount necessary.

We will only retain your data for as long as we need it to meet our purposes, including any relating to legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Your data will be held securely in accordance with our policies and procedures.
