Overlooked, Overheard is an Augmented Reality listening experience that looks at how the city of Austin is maintained in ways that we can’t see.

Overlooked, Overheard is an Augmented Reality listening experience that looks at how the city of Austin is maintained in ways that we can’t see. Audiences can explore a neighborhood either through two guided events or at their own pace and hear music representing various city projects that don’t necessarily leave any visual indicator.

The focus of this piece is two separate neighborhoods in the city of Austin: Govalle and Highland. Existing at opposite ends of the Airport Boulevard corridor, they have a number of similarities and differences. Both are walkable areas that welcome exploration

oversupinate

People who jog, run, and sprint have their share of problems that slow-moving people can barely comprehend. One is oversupination. As the OED defines it, to oversupinate is “To run or walk so that the weight falls upon the outer sides of the feet to a greater extent than is necessary, desirable, etc.” A 1990 Runner’s World article gets to the crux of the problem: “It’s hard to ascertain exactly what percentage of the running population oversupinates, but it’s a fraction of the people who think they do.” Credits to Mark Peters.
