Walking with Ghosts
We were delighted to connect with Thread and Word and work with Elspeth Penfold throughout the process. Through the walkshops, the expression and exploration of war became foregrounded . The walkshops also took us beyond the immediate vicinity of Folkestone and the last hundred years. Through engaging with poetry and art from global cultures, we reflected on the impact and experience of war across time, space and culture. This global perspective connected what was a site-specific artwork to a global story.
Coasts in Mind
A video documentation using sound, walking and weaving to share stories as method for collecting inter generational stories with adults with learning difficulties about coastal change with CITiZAN and East Kent Mencap in Herne Bay.

A dynamic video piece where I walk from my home in Brazil, to a small town in the north of Sweden, and back.
Salt Drawing
A geographic system of triangles and circles doubling in size is created in the Bonneville Salt Flats to record the arch of the sunset on the summer solstice. It took four days of labor to draw the diagram, and one day to draw the arch of the solstice. All labor was done by the artist and the recording was done with a drone.
Misleading
Four participants were guided for two hours by a person who is visually impaired and uses a wheelchair. The GPS track was recorded using the Komoot app.
Along the Fence
One of four participants guides the group along his usual route, which runs (due to his short memory disorder and his visual impairment with his right eye) counter-clockwise along the fence of Johannesstift area.

walkingwhiledrawing is a project that combines walking, drawing and VR-landscapes. It is dealing with our visual perception while walking and drawing. The drawing walks get translated in VR through 3D-painting and combined as a VR-landscape.
