In Mussorsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition there is a Promedade (leitmotive) between the ten movements of the Suite. The main idea of this project is to use the sound of the fountains as leitmotiv during a soundwalk dedicated to the discovery of a sound objects installation. Why water as leitmotive? People are made at 90% of water that is a fluid and not a fixed element.
The sound installation journey is based on the concept of sound evolution in our mind. Life is made by different moments: sometimes we are more sensitive to naturalistic sounds, to ascetic sounds, to musical sounds, to metaphisical sounds, to anthropic sounds, to medidative sounds.
This research started by these questions and it brought me to build differents sound interactive rooms with the aim to open an opportunity for the audience to reflect upon the sound moment they are living. The different rooms has been chosen between different possibilities that “usual” people has chosen. Inside the audio files there are concrete sounds, manipulated sounds and original recordings made by acoustic instruments.
