Walking in the countryside around Stroud in Gloucestershire. Organised by artist’s collective Walking the Land, they take place on the first Friday of every month.

We’d like to invite you to join us on September’s First Friday Walk 4th September.

Convergence and Conversation

Dear artist/walkers,

We hope this finds you all well and at least getting out to walk, even if it’s on your own.

It’s still too soon for us to meet and walk together, but we can walk towards each other and be aware of the walk that we are sharing.

We invite you to join us on a synchronised walk as if you were walking towards Rodborough Common, Stroud (OS reference 040.848 or https://w3w.co/puncture.detergent.line) from wherever you happen to be and consider how your walk looks, how it sounds, how it feels on your body, what ideas it brings up.

Imagine us converging and recording in words/sounds/images what you would like to share if we were to meet.

Please email us ([email protected]) with your ‘expression of interest’ so we can share details of your walk with others

Before Friday we will circulate a list of participants
12:00 onwards: email us with details of where you are walking from and to 13:15.
Head as if walking towards Rodborough Common from where ever you happen to be. Walk as far as you feel appropriate but set your own prompts, restrictions or parameters.

After the walk please forward your material or links to the rest of the participants and perhaps we’ll develop a conversation…

Hopefully we may just be able to meet up in person for our October FFW and we also plan launch a couple of new initiatives

best wishes

Richard, Kel & Tom

Free but we ask for donations to environmental charities.
