A drift is a way of walking taken from the Situationist International movement, as a way of walking and exploring a space without using a planned route or typical directions. We will wander, meander and amble through the city, without a specific walk leader or end goal in mind, simply walking however the group decides. This practice is a great way to explore a new place, notice new things about a well-known area, get some fresh air and socialise in a relaxed setting. We will begin the walk from The Robin Hood Statue on Castle Road, and may find somewhere to have a snack or drink and a chat after the walk, if the group would like.
