Un passo indietro sulla via del suono – A step back on the way of sound

Il suono è via. La via del suono conduce al suono. Il suono è già qui. La via del suono conduce a ciò che è già qui.

Camminare sulla via del suono è andare verso il già. Camminando verso il già si va all’indietro. Stare sulla via del suono significa camminare all’indietro.

Ascoltare è fare un passo indietro.

In questa pratica cammineremo insieme sulla via del suono, verso il suono. Proveremo a fare il passo indietro. Se non ci riusciremo, allora impareremo la difficoltà del passo indietro.

PRECAUZIONI PER COVID-19:
la manifestazione si svolgerà interamente all’aperto, nei giardini di Porta Venezia. Sarà necessario indossare la mascherina.

IN CASO DI MALTEMPO:
Con pioggia lieve, la soundwalk sarà svolta normalmente, con ombrelli o impermeabili. In caso di forte temporale si riprogrammerà l’evento per domenica 27.

Sound is a way. The way of sound takes to sound. Sound is already there. The way of sound takes to what is already there.

Walking on the way of sound means going towards the already. Walking towards the already is going backwards. Being on the way of sound means walking backwards.

Listening is stepping back.

In this soundwalk, we are going to walk together on the way of sound, towards sound. We will try to step back. If we do not succeed, we will learn the difficulty of the step back.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES:
The event will take place outdoors, at Porta Venezia public park. A face mask will be required.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER:
With light rain, the soundwalk will take place regularly. If it rains heavily, the event will be rescheduled on Sunday the 27th.

ANY CHANGE IN THE SCHEDULE OR ADDICTIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE COMMUNICATED VIA EMAIL TO THE PARTICIPANTS.

Beneath our Feet

This sound piece explores the hidden history of Fairlight Country Park and its ruined Lookout Tower through a narrated walk accompanied by a location-based soundscape. The historical research was conducted by park volunteers Sally Vennard, Cath Cooper, and Kelly Morgan, with narration by Sally and Cath.
