The soundwalk “Los Pasos de Mama Killa” (The Steps of Mama Killa) explores the collective meaning of agency at night, presenting the nighttime as a communal and relational space grounded in mutual care. The sound design was developed using sound-augmented reality on the ECHOES platform. This work was created for the Sur Aural Sound Festival in 2024, held in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Join the pupils of Tobermory High as they guide us round the sounds and stories to be heard on the beautiful Isle of Mull. The sound walk also includes clips from two original songs written and performed by the pupils and Roddy Woomble (Idlewild).
Storyteller Deirdre Harrison brings this storytelling chamber band that has been delighting intergenerational audiences since 2014. Dynamic, interactive readings of well-known and award-winning books are accompanied by improvised and composed music.
