This trio of short sound works – combining field recording, text and song – marks 3 points along the path of the Rio Cavalos in central Portugal, where I have recently moved.
These sound mixes are a way of attuning myself to my new watery neighbour and to bring together reflections from regular walks along the Cavalos.
They also function as a conversation with the river – a way of introducing myself and addressing this lively, flowing presence through landscapes that were new to me.
The three mixes are virtually pinned to the landscape through the app AudioSpaces, so can be experienced in situ or through the links on this page.
