Amy Tsilemanis is an artist, producer, curator, and researcher, based in Ballarat Australia (Wadawurrung Country). In 2020 she completed her practice-led PhD on activating heritage collections and places through creative organisational thinking and arts practice. This research was undertaken over a three-year period as curator at the Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute working with heritage collections and producing various exhibitions and events. She has a Masters in site-specific audio theatre, and has presented and produced radio shows and audio works, including Gather Podcast with Minerva's Books & Ideas, and developed content for the digital history trail ballaratrevealed.com and the Historic Urban Landscape Ballarat digital portal hulballarat.org.au
Her current project Heart Maps exploring maps and audio is part of a creative research fellowship in the Otways (Gadubanud Country), funded by Regional Arts Australia. She presented on the Heart Maps project at the 2023 WAC – Walking Arts Encounters/Conference in Prespa Greece.
