Rhian Morris

Rhian is a scenographer and interdisciplinary artist. Her practice seeks to reconfigure relationships in light of the anthropocene, looking to qualities of vulnerability and fragility and how these perceived weaknesses can connect us. Since the pandemic Rhian has expanded her scenographic practice from the theatre to other stages, facilitating spaces for conversation and contemplation on nonhuman timescales. These social scenographies include co-authoring a polyphonic publication printed by HKU Lectoraat Performatieve Maakprocessen, and founding a collaborative sewing & storytelling project, which has been travelling around participant's homes for the last 3 years. Her current research project, Perambulations, is a community-led production interweaving the mediums of sound, language and movement, to create site-specific audiowalks around the neighbourhood of Overvecht in Utrecht.
