Laila Claessen and Tabor Idema

We, Laila Claessen and Tabor Idema, are two Dutch performers and artists, working in the fields of theatre, film and installation.

Laila Claessen her work is covered in dark humor, childish philosophy, and ugly metaphors that twist and turn themselves in search for a bigger meaning. Her work is an attempt to stretch the boundaries of socially accepted honesty.

Tabor Idema self-possesses a sensitivity between word and gesture. He believes in the power of visual poetry. In a hyper realistic landscape, he is an uninhibited sculpture, a body that listens.

shoggle, worple

Since the 1500s, shoggle has been a word for various sorts of shaking. No wonder it became a word for unsteady walking in the 1800s. Zombies and toddlers are big shogglers. Another term sometimes applied to such precarious ambling is warpling. Credits to Mark Peters.
