It is performed in-situ, in and around Ljubljana, and through online and hybrid environments. In terms of content, it complements the parallel Sound Walk September festival.
This inaugural incarnation is a prelude, as initiators will try to outline the framework, and future development, of the festival. It is being piloted in Ljubljana and its wider region, in cooperation with local partners.

The festival Sound Walk City is expected to take place every year in a selected city or location around the globe.

Sound Walk City · prelude is initiated by walk · listen · create, in collaboration with Cona, institute for contemporary arts processing. The Ljubljana edition is produced by the Cona Institute, Steklenik Gallery.
