This 40-minute Soundwalk, led by composer Yuan-Chen Li, uses guided listening and musical elements to explore themes of sedimentation and the interplay between natural sounds and urban noise.

The Garfield Park SoundWalk features 22 geo-located soundscapes created by 7th-12th grade students from Christel House Academy South in Indianapolis’ oldest city park. This free, self-guided sound art experience is accessible through the Echoes application.

The Garfield Park SoundWalk is a free, public sound art experience in Indy’s oldest city park. It consists of 22 geo-located soundscapes created by 7th-12th grade students at Christel House Academy South. Each piece uses musical and non-musical sounds to paint a scene or set the mood for that specific area of the park. This self-guided experience is accessible on the Echoes application.
