50 minutes
Sound walk

This audio tour was made in partnership with the SoHo Memory Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating the history of SoHo, New York City. The tour is narrated by lifelong SoHo resident and founder of the SoHo Memory Project, Yukie Ohta. Your walk through SoHo will unlock GPS-triggered audio stories, connecting historical details embedded in the neighborhood’s streets with memories of living in SoHo from artists and authors. Stops include Housing Works Bookstore, Ken Hiratsuka’s sidewalk carvings, Judd Foundation, Vesuvio Bakery, and more. Bring your headphones and start at Broadway and Houston, diagonally across from an iconic work of public art, The Wall by Forrest Myers.
